CHALLENGES

SCAD wanted to establish its presence in China, and to leverage the powerful social media tool WeChat to reach its potential students in the market. SCAD only had an EN official website which is hosted in the U.S. Websites hosted outside of China, suffer from painfully slow loading speeds, and sometimes can’t be loaded due to the GFW.

Besides this, the impression given to the market is that China was an afterthought, making communications, lead nurturing and engagement extremely difficult.


SOLUTIONS

Establish a custom built CN website, with a content management system. The new website has ICP filing and is hosted on servers located in mainland China. SCAD’s service offerings to students covers a wide spectrum, from Undergraduates to Masters and even courses for professionals. To clearly communicate the offerings and to enable personalised engagements, we established the SCAD official WeChat account and bound it to a Social Client Relationship Management platform. The account leverages advanced features to identify follower personas, segment content and nurture followers into leads. Data is then synchronized with SCAD’s existing CRM.

A CN/EN website design in line with VI requirements, developed within 3 months.
